Armenia shares boundaries with Georgia on the N, Azerbaijan on the E and S, Iran on the S, and Turkey on the W and has a total boundary length of 1,254 km (778 mi). Armenia's capital city, Yerevan, is located in the west-central portion of the country on the Hrazdan River.
